{"id":568,"date":"2026-03-02T19:33:37","date_gmt":"2026-03-02T19:33:37","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.liammulliganarchitect.ie\/?page_id=568"},"modified":"2026-03-02T19:39:46","modified_gmt":"2026-03-02T19:39:46","slug":"post-office","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/www.liammulliganarchitect.ie\/?page_id=568","title":{"rendered":"Post Office"},"content":{"rendered":"<div id=\"dslc-theme-content\"><div id=\"dslc-theme-content-inner\"><p><span style=\"font-family: Times New Roman, serif;\"><span lang=\"en-IE\">Post Office, Kells<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p align=\"JUSTIFY\"><span style=\"font-family: Times New Roman, serif;\">This fine Edwardian Post Office building <\/span><span style=\"font-family: Times New Roman, serif;\"><span lang=\"en-IE\">(a protected structure) <\/span><\/span><span style=\"font-family: Times New Roman, serif;\">was purpose built by the Board of Works in 1902, to the design of its architect Robert Cochrane, and was occupied continuously by the post office until abandoned by An Post in 2010, thereafter it <\/span><span style=\"font-family: Times New Roman, serif;\"><span lang=\"en-IE\">quickly deteriorated and suffered severe dry-rot infestation.
