Toll House, Dunshaughlin

A former toll house (a protected structure) built in the early nineteenth century ravaged by unsympathetic alterations & repairs was sensitively restored and adapted for office use with minimal alterations to historic fabric and plan form. Missing elements such as windows, doors and other joinery were replaced based on evidence of the original elements where known, otherwise typical traditional designs were followed to restore and enhance the historic character of an important building within its village context.
