Railway Station Buildings, Carnaross

This mid-nineteenth century goods shed associated with the Virginia Road Railway Station was extended and adapted for various industrial uses when the railway station closed in the 1960’s and subsequently fell into disuse and disrepair. Our work involved the conservation and adaptation of the buildings for use as a cheese storage facility together with new warehousing and office premises. The new office building is a practical and economical classical design which draws on the long tradition of cheerful classical railway architecture.
