New Farmhouse, County Meath
A proposed design for a new farmhouse set in an existing farmyard in County Meath. The design references typical traditional Irish farmhouses of the eighteenth and nineteenth century which were modest, practical and economical structures whose attractive character and enduring appeal was based on simple rules including good proportions, quality natural materials and real craftsmanship. The design also relies on these principles without compromising on modern conveniences and the latest energy efficient building design features.
